Passor©: The High Commissioner of Passor© Province, Daouda Sangar©, led the second ordinary session of the Passor© Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) in Yako, concentrating on the outcomes of the 2024-2025 dry season and future plans for the 2025-2026 wet season.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session gathered development actors on June 13, 2025, to review their activities and collaborations. This framework enables provincial and municipal authorities, along with various organizations, to deliberate on public hygiene conditions, dry season achievements, and wet season forecasts.
Participants also addressed the resettlement of farmers in the Dourou irrigated area within Kirsi commune. Discussion topics included constructing water facilities, school latrines, and promoting community-led sanitation approaches. The second presentation, by Odile Bonou from the provincial directorate of Agriculture, focused on the dry season's agricultural success, with production reaching 42,717 tonnes against a forecast of 24,365 tonnes.
For the 2025-2026 wet season, the State and partners have provisioned 145,183 tonnes of seeds and 132.3 tonnes of fertilizers at subsidized rates. Planned developments include 369 hectares, 45 fields, and 4,320 individual ploughings. Activities in the Dourou irrigated area involve construction, ploughing, and awareness efforts, with flooding scheduled for June 26, 2025.
