Passor© High Commissioner Calls for Improved Waste Management and Control of Stray Animals

Yako: The High Commissioner of Passor©, Daouda Sangar©, urged local authorities on Friday, June 13, 2025, to enhance the management of household waste and address the issue of stray animals in the commune of Yako. This call to action was made during the second ordinary session of 2025 of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) in Yako.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Sangar© emphasized the need for the Presidents of the special delegations of the communes to implement better waste management practices and take steps to mitigate the problem of stray animals. He highlighted that after a period of raising awareness, any non-compliant pet owners and household heads would face legal consequences.

The High Commissioner urged the Provincial Consultation Framework to devise suitable measures to manage stray animals effectively within their jurisdictions. Additionally, Daouda Sangar© called on the security personnel at the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) of Yako to remain vigilant about animals wandering within the health facility.
