Passor© Solidarity Association Mobilizes Nearly 12 Million FCFA for Local VDPs

Passor©: The Passor© Solidarity Association (APS) handed over a contribution of 11,950,000 FCFA to the High Commissioner of Passor©, Daouda Sangar©, in support of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) engaged in peace restoration efforts within the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation followed a call from the High Commissioner urging the people of Passor©, united under the APS, to rally support for the VDP. In response, the community collected a significant sum, which was officially presented to the provincial authority on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

The donors emphasized that this contribution is a demonstration of solidarity among the province's sons and daughters, aimed at supporting the VDP in their mission to reclaim national territory in Passor©. The contribution included 6,250,000 CFA francs in cash, five motorcycles valued at 5,250,000 CFA francs, and a ton of rice intended for the VDPs and the widows of those who have fallen in the line of duty.

Paul Sondo, the 2nd Vice-President of the APS, stood in for the association's President, Michel Zida, also known as Sol Confort. Mr. Sondo highlighted that this act of solidarity underscores the deep connection the people of Passor© have with their province. He conveyed gratitude to the residents, especially the youth, for their active role in resource mobilization.

High Commissioner Daouda Sangar© expressed appreciation for the swift and significant response from the nationals. He acknowledged the recognition from the country's highest authorities towards the donors and urged continued unity for the benefit of the province.
