The staff of the General Secretariat of the Government and the Council of Ministers mobilized on Wednesday for the flag-raising ceremony marking the official launch of the second edition of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizenship participation, noted the AIB.The staff of the General Secretariat of the Government and the Council of Ministers sang the national anthem in chorus to accompany the raising of the national colors in order to mark their adherence to the love of the fatherland.On the occasion, the Secretary General of the Government, Mathias Traoré delivered the message of the President of Faso to his colleagues before indicating that a set of activities including conferences focused on patriotic commitment will be carried out during the said days.On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré officially launched the second edition of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation where he invited each "Burkinabé, from inside and o utside, to truly express their belonging to the motherland through concrete actions."In his message, he called on every citizen to be vigilant and to commit to banishing treachery in their daily actions.In the name of the homeland, "treason will henceforth be the most serious criminal act as it happens in States which really want to assume their sovereignty," warned the President of Faso."Those who love their living environment always keep it clean and those who love Burkina Faso must keep it clean. Our healthcare facilities, our homes, our neighborhoods and villages, our communes, our cities, our places of work and worship, our cemeteries, let us always keep them clean,' he recalled.Placed under the theme, 'For a strong and sovereign nation, let us not betray our homeland!', this second phase of the days of patriotic commitment will be held from October 2 to 16, 2024.Source: Burkina Information Agency
