Ouagadougou: A delegation from the organizing committee of the 1st edition of the International Festival of Kinship and Joking Alliance (FIPAP) requested on Wednesday the blessings of His Majesty Naaba Baongho for the success of the event which will be held from November 29 to December 1 at the Newton field in Wayalghin. For the occasion, a Samo who is part of the said committee claimed his rent.According to Burkina Information Agency, considering himself the owner of the city of Ouagadougou, a Samo who is part of the delegation of the organizing committee of the 1st edition of the International Festival of Kinship and Joking Alliance (FIPAP) demanded on Wednesday from His Majesty Naaba Baongho his rent and immediately, he was given his money back."We came to ask for blessings and advice from His Majesty Naaba Baongho for the success of the International Festival of Kinship and Joking Alliance (FIPAP)" which is in its first edition," declared the coordinator of the Faso Rakiiré Association, Benoît Ilboudo .Mr. Ilboudo, president of the organizing committee of the festival, specified that the event will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at the Newton field of Wayalghin in Ouagadougou under the theme "Culture, sport, Rakiiré for harmonious living together".For him, various activities will be on the program of the Faso Rakiiré Festival. These include, among others, a football competition bringing together the different communities that are the Bissas, the Bobos, the Peuls, the Mossi, the Samos, the Gourmantchés, the Yadécés, the Dagari, the Lobi, a women's race with the participation of 2 women per community and a Raki-Raaga.'The Zaossé and the Yana, those of Saponé and Manga will be present at FIPAP 2024 to show their cultural talents,' he added.The president of the FIPAP organizing committee also maintained that a total of 14 communities will participate in this first cultural meeting, each of which will exhibit its know-how to the public.He also reported that a fundraising and blood do nation drive will be initiated by the Faso Rakiiré Association to support displaced persons and the fighting forces engaged in the reconquest of the national territory.Benoît Ilboudo also called on all communities in Burkina Faso in general and those in the city of Ouagadougou to participate massively in the first edition of FIPAP to promote living together and social cohesion.Moogho Naaba Baongho, for his part, welcomed the holding of the Faso Rakiiré festival which promotes living together in the country.He also provided advice to the delegation of the FIPAP organizing committee while advocating understanding between members and being a good example for the future generation.For this 1st edition of FIPAP, Niger is the guest country of honor and Ghana as a model country.Created in October 2022, FIPAP aims to be a showcase for promoting Burkinabe culture and living together.
