Ouagadougou: The Italian Archbishop, Mgr Carlo Maria Vigano (83), was expelled from the Catholic Church for his refusal to recognize and submit to the authority of Pope Francis.The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith also criticized Mgr Vigano for wanting to divide the Catholic Church.The ultra-conservative archbishop has been known for years for his harsh criticism of Pope Francis.On several occasions, he accused the Sovereign Pontiff of heresies and called for his resignation.Source: Burkina Information Agency
