Réo: The Place de la Nation in Réo, capital of Sanguié, was abuzz from October 31 to November 3, 2024, as it hosted the 14th edition of the 'Réo Retrouvailles' festival. This vibrant event, held under the high patronage of Minister of State Rimtaalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and the patronage of Minister of Energy Yacouba Zabré Gouba, concluded late on Sunday, November 3. The organizers have affirmed that the festival lived up to its promises.According to Burkina Information Agency, the festival featured a series of scheduled activities that took place smoothly. These included a public conference on "Disinformation and Social Cohesion: Role and Responsibility of the Educational and Student World," a fair showcasing consumable and non-consumable products, and a recreational space with performances by around forty artists such as Kayawoto, Tanya, and the Banou group. The event also celebrated a unique aspect of Burkinabe culture, the joking relationship, with the participation of the Bissa community from Zabré in Boulgou. Additionally, the festival organizers extended their generosity by providing food to a local orphanage and the VDP, as well as donating computer equipment to the Réo gendarmerie brigade.The festival also marked the commencement of a significant construction project, with the laying of the first stone for the boundary wall of the provincial high school of Réo. This initiative was made possible through the "A Brick for the Provincial High School of Réo" project. Moreover, the sponsors, forming a club, congratulated the organizers, aiming to promote the festival as a catalyst for the province's development.
