Dori: The Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNF) of the Sahel, Mr. Elhadji Boubacar, received 200 educational tablets equipped with the e-nomade software for learners of the Fulfulde and Gulmachema languages.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the equipment was presented by Mr. ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬°tienne Zida, representative of the Open-Education organization. The donation includes 200 Android tablets, each equipped with the e-nomade application, as well as accessories and solar energy batteries.
Mr. Zida explained that e-nomade serves as an alternative literacy solution in national languages, offering both on-site and off-site learning opportunities. The application was developed by Open-Education in multiple languages, including Fulfulde, Dioula, Moor©, and Gulmacema.
Mr. Elhadji Boubacar expressed his gratitude to Open-Education for developing the application, which was supported by IAMGOLD Essakane SA. He emphasized its importance in promoting and popularizing education in national languages, which are crucial for preserving cultural heritage.
Mr. Boubacar highlighted the potential of this initiative, stating that the material will be used wisely to achieve significant results, making the pilot phase successful.
The president of the Sahel Literacy Operators Framework, Mr. Amadou Diallo, also expressed his appreciation to the donor. He noted that the equipment will greatly assist learners in acquiring knowledge and expressed hope that the literacy operators' capacities would be enhanced to ensure the equipment's optimal use.
