Sector 22 of Bobo-Dioulasso Mobilizes for Community Sanitation Efforts

Bobo-dioulasso: Residents of sector 22 of Bobo-Dioulasso mobilized strongly on Saturday for community sanitation work, demonstrating their commitment to a clean and healthy environment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, from dawn, men, women, and children participated in community-minded sanitation activities. Several businesses remained closed as a sign of their commitment to this cause. "All communities must work together for a clean Burkina, especially during the rainy season," emphasized Ernest Kini, a retired inspector and coordinator of the initiative. He reiterated the importance of cleaning gutters to prevent flooding and diseases linked to unsanitary conditions.

This is the third operation of its kind in sector 22, following those held on April 12 and May 17. The coordinator welcomed the support of the town hall of district 7, which provided logistical resources for waste removal. The first deputy mayor, Youssouf Salou, had already encouraged the efforts of the population during the previous operation in May.
