Three alleged perpetrators of assassination LD, LH and TA, with about fifteen years of experience, were presented this Wednesday morning to journalists at the Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade of Saaba, noted the AIB.According to the commander of the Territorial Brigade of Gendarmerie of Saaba, Chief Warrant Officer Fatiè Millogo who is also the director of the investigation, the three people arrested whose ages vary between 31 and 46, are accused of illegal possession of firearms, murder, acts of serious banditry and criminal association.They will be brought before the Public Prosecutor of Faso at the Ouaga 2 High Court to answer for their actions, he said.Chief Warrant Officer Fatiè Millogo explained that the gang had been operating for about fifteen years, mainly in the countryside in gold mining areas, and had never been troubled.They arrived in the rural commune of Saaba on the run, after the robbery of a gold prospector in the South-West; their leader ended up in Bobo-Dioulasso.But the Territor ial Brigade of the Gendarmerie of Gomblora in the South-West managed to get their hands on the leader of the gang. The latter asked these men who were in Saaba to hide the weapons without which, the gendarmerie, he said, had no proof against them.One of the members who took refuge in Saaba and who had weapons wanted to create his own group and abandon the others who met him in Bargho (Saaba) and fatally attacked him.The Saaba Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade, informed of this armed assault which took place on the night of Tuesday, March 12, 2024, sent a team to the scene who found the victim dying and having difficulty speaking.Before her evacuation to the Yalgado Ouédraogo University Hospital where she died, the victim was able to give her name and the identities of her attackers who were believed to be her own companions.It was from there that the Territorial Brigade of Gendarmerie of Saaba opened an investigation which will allow to know that these alleged authors of assassination were also wanted b y the Territorial Brigade of Gendarmerie of Glombora in the South-West region, for other criminal acts.With the collaboration of the National Intelligence Agency (ANR) and mobile telephone networks, one of the alleged attackers, in this case LD, will be located and arrested in Koupéla by the Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade of this city, on Monday, September 30, 2024.Led and questioned at the Territorial Brigade of Gendarmerie of Saaba, he showed the hiding place of the weapons which were used to commit the various crimes and the investigations led to the arrest of two other accomplices LH and TA.Source: Burkina Information Agency
