Sissili /Education: An association glorifies academic excellence

The association of pupils and students (AEES) of Sissili celebrated academic excellence on Saturday, September 21, 2024 by donating school kits to the best primary and post-primary students in the village of Sissily. The ceremony was chaired by the president of the delegation of the commune of Léo, Kassoum Koalaga and sponsored by the deputy, Dramane Nignan .With this gesture, the Association of Students (AEES) of Sissily intends to play an active role in improving education.A total of 12 primary school students, including the 1st girl and the 1st boy in each class, received school kits consisting of bags, notebooks, pens and a financial envelope.With 122 points, the best student in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) Marc Sawadogo, in addition to the kit, also obtained a bicycle.At the Sissily General Education College (CEG), all 16 students admitted to the First Cycle Studies Certificate (BEPC) were entitled to school supplies.With an average of 15.27, the student, Ohfi Nignan, 1st in the BEPC, received a bicycle in addition to a school kit and the 1st girl in the BEPC obtained an average of 14.50.On the occasion, the director of the German medical-surgical center of Léo, Omar Ouédraogo promised to sponsor the 6 best students of the primary school of Sissily.The president of the ceremony's organizing committee, Rachid Nignan, praised the strong turnout of the population for this second edition of the day of academic excellence.On behalf of the population, he expressed his gratitude to the President of the special delegation (PDS) of Léo, Kassoum Koalaga and to the deputy, Dramane Nignan who spared no effort to accompany them.Mr. Nignan also listed some difficulties linked to the lack of tables and benches, the standardization of the Sissili B primary school and the extension of the village's Social Promotion Health Center (CSPS).He asked the PDS of Léo to support the village in having a leisure space for the benefit of young people.Dramane Nignan also praised the organizers for choosing him as the patron of the 2nd edition of Sissily's day of academic excellence.He expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders for this wonderful initiative which promotes quality education in the province.The MP especially insisted on fundamental values ??such as unity, cohesion, union and understanding between all the daughters and sons of the village.Mr. Nignan also hoped that this flame of peace would continue to illuminate the entire village of Sissily and even beyond, to the great happiness of all.The PDS of Léo, Kassoum Koalaga thanked the education stakeholders of Sissily for the good results obtained in the various school exams of the 2024 session.Mr. Koalga reassured everyone that all concerns will be taken into account for quality education.He finally paid tribute to the godfather for his contribution to the development of the commune of Léo.Certificates of recognition were awarded to the actors for their commitment to education.Source: Burkina Information Agency
