Sissili: Young People from Goyarro (Bissiou) Unite to Repair Impassable Road Crossing a Lowland

Sissili: Young people from Goyarro (Bissiou), a locality in the commune of Bi©ha, province of Sissili, in the Nando region, took action on the morning of Saturday, July 19, 2025, to address a critical local infrastructure issue. They mobilized for a community project aimed at making the road crossing the lowland, which connects their village to Latian, passable.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the road becomes an ordeal for travelers every winter, complicating movement between the two towns. In response, the youth of Goyarro (Bissiou) decided to take proactive measures. Equipped with shovels, picks, sand, and stones, they gathered to repair the most problematic sections of the lowland, hoping to enhance accessibility and improve connectivity in their area.

Elis©e Batiga Nacro, a resident of Goyarro (Bissiou), expressed satisfaction with the initiative, emphasizing the importance of local development originating from the community itself before seeking external assistance. The effort also saw contributions from well-wishers and passersby using motorcycles, tricycles, and cars, who supported the community action in various ways.

This initiative aligns with the 'Faso Mªbo' concept, which encourages local commitment to development. Through this significant gesture, the youth of Goyarro (Bissiou) illustrate that with determination, tangible solutions can be found for the community's everyday challenges.
