Six Associations Contribute Over 10 Million FCFA to Burkina Faso’s Patriotic Support Fund

Ouagadougou: Six associations have demonstrated their commitment to Burkina Faso's national cause by donating a total of 10,050,000 FCFA to the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP). The contributions were officially presented to Abdoul Rachid Soulama, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in a ceremony held in Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donations came from a diverse group of associations, including the Zemstaba association for local development, the Burkinabe midwives and obstetricians, the NGO International Assistance "Mother and Child", the national chamber of real estate experts of Burkina, the order of civil engineers, and the youth committed to Faso. These organizations responded to a call from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, to support the country's peace efforts through financial contributions.

Donor representative Ousmane Honor© Ou©draogo emphasized the importance of united efforts in the ongoing conflict, stating that victory for Burkina Faso will be achieved by bolstering and motivating the forces fighting to restore the nation's territorial integrity.

During the ceremony, Abdoul Rachid Soulama praised the donors for their significant contribution, highlighting it as a testament to the African values of solidarity and resilience upheld by the Burkinabe people. He assured the donors that their contributions would be managed with utmost transparency and in alignment with the principles of good governance.

The Patriotic Support Fund has amassed over 365 billion FCFA since its inception, as reported by Mr. Soulama on June 1, 2025. This substantial fund is crucial in supporting the country's efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability.
