Soum Youth and Women Lead Civic Clean-Up at Djibo Medical Center

Djibo: Several youth and women's associations organized a civic health day at the Medical Center with Surgical Antenna (CMA) in the city of Djibo, located in the Soum region. Equipped with rakes, machetes, shovels, and wheelbarrows, the participants weeded and cleaned the health center grounds, thus improving the reception and care environment for patients.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative mobilized many residents, with the presence of administrative and traditional authorities who came to encourage and congratulate the organizers for their civic gesture. They emphasized that the health of the population also depends on a healthy environment and the involvement of each person in the preservation of public spaces.

Despite the rain, the mobilization continued unabated. Young people, women, community leaders, and local residents worked together in an atmosphere of solidarity and commitment. The initiators of this activity intend to repeat it regularly to establish a lasting civic dynamic in the town. They also hope to extend the experience to other public establishments in the city.

This health day serves as a reminder of the importance of community engagement to support the efforts of the State and health personnel in improving the living conditions of the population.
