Sourou: The province of Sourou recorded a success rate of 34.65% on Wednesday, during the announcement of the results of the first round of the Brevet d'©tudes du premier cycle (BEPC), 2025 session. The results were revealed in Tougan, the capital of Sourou province, indicating the performance of students in this significant academic milestone.
According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 1,143 candidates participated in the first round for the secondary diploma, with 396 students being admitted. This cohort included 187 boys and 209 girls, resulting in a success rate of 40.74% for boys and 30.56% for girls.
Most students admitted in the first round expressed their joy and extended gratitude to their supervisors and parents for their support throughout the school year. They also conveyed their best wishes to peers awaiting the second round results, which are scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025.
It is noted that 505 candidates, comprising 192 boys and 313 girls, are set to participate in the second round of the BEPC.
