Sourou: Citizen monitoring reiterates its support for the transition for the next five years

Ouagadougou: The provincial coordination of associations and citizen monitoring movements organized on Sunday July 21, 2024 in Tougan, a march-meeting to reiterate the support of the populations of Sourou for the President of Faso, for the five years to come and ask for more security for the province.The populations of the town of Tougan, capital of the province of Sourou, in the Boucle du Mouhoun region took to the streets on Sunday July 21, 2024, to reiterate their support for the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.This march-meeting follows a call from the provincial coordination of associations and citizen monitoring movements of the populations of the city of Tougan.For the coordination representative, Issouf Djibo, the march-meeting is part of a vision to support the President of Faso for the next five years.'We are aware that these 5 years are crucial in the fight against terrorism. We want to demand more security in our province which has been suffering for a long time.'And Mr. Djibo added that 'Everyone's wish is that populations travel peacefully, that internally displaced persons return to their places of origin and that closed services resume.'The organizers of the demonstration delivered a message to the high commissioner of the province, Désiré Badolo, who promised to pass it on to whomever it may concern.Source: Burkina Information Agency
