Sourou: The Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training initiated the baccalaureate sports exams on Thursday, with 574 candidates qualified for the 2025 session.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the director, Joseph Karambiri, officially launched the sports tests for the 2025 baccalaureate session in Tougan, Sourou. The event took place at the second site of the Tougan provincial high school, attended by numerous examiners and a supervisor for the physical and sports tests.
The Provincial Director addressed the candidates, emphasizing that the sports tests mark the beginning of their journey toward success in the Baccalaureate, which subsequently provides access to the country's universities. Mr. Karambiri expressed gratitude to the police and health workers for their support and urged examiners to adhere to assessment procedures, while advising candidates to follow instructions carefully.
For this session, the 574 eligible candidates are composed of 302 boys and 272 girls, distributed across three committees on two different fields. Fatao Sabo, one of the candidates, expressed confidence and readiness for the tests, stating, "I'm not afraid. I've practiced a lot and I trust my abilities."
The sports tests for the 2025 baccalaureate session in Sourou are scheduled from May 22 to 25.
