R©o: The special delegation of the commune of R©o concluded its second extraordinary session of the year, focusing on structuring projects at the town hall on July 23 and 24, 2025. Chaired by the municipality's chief executive, Sindi Issaka Zagr©, the session provided an opportunity to examine and adopt several projects related to local management. The first day was dedicated to technical presentations that served as a foundation for analyzing the deliberations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, discussions included a review of the contract between the municipality of R©o and Vergnet Burkina SARL, which manages the Bonyolo simplified drinking water supply (AEPS). The aim was to align the contract with the updated standard model, with support from the provincial directorate of water, sanitation, and the environment.
A presentation by SAGRACY Consulting, representing the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Promotion Support Project (PAPEA), focused on a project to build a pig market in the municipality. A co-financing agreement was set to be signed, pending authorization from the special delegation.
Another significant agenda item was the transfer of a pilot mercury-free ore processing site in Guido to the village's artisanal mining cooperative, requiring prior community approval.
On the session's second day, members reviewed and adopted various resolutions from the communications. A certificate presentation ceremony recognized contributors to the development of the simplified solid waste management plan in the municipality.
Mr. Zagr© concluded the meeting by commending the active participation of the special delegation members and reaffirmed the commitment to continuing efforts for the local development of R©o.
