Tannounyan Regional Management Launches Campaign to Promote Worker Declaration with CNSS

Tannounyan: The regional management of the CNSS has initiated an awareness campaign to encourage employers to register their employees with the National Social Security Fund (CNSS). The campaign was launched in Banfora at a ceremony chaired by Secretary General Toussaint Meda, representing the Governor.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Tannounyan Regional Directorate of Labor and Social Protection has planned a four-week awareness drive aimed at informing employers about the importance of declaring their employees to the CNSS. Syntiche Gu©br©, the regional director of labor and social protection, highlighted the campaign's purpose to inform company managers about the benefits of employee registration and the role of the labor inspectorate in enforcing compliance with labor laws.

Gu©br© emphasized the need for stakeholders to understand the process before the teams begin their field operations. The campaign addresses the ongoing issue of non-registration of workers with the CNSS despite previous efforts. The director expressed concern over the number of unregistered workers in the region.

Following the meeting, teams from the labor inspectorate and CNSS will visit various companies, including those in construction, agriculture, and both formal and informal sectors, to promote the registration of employees. This initiative aims to engage all social partners in the region in the registration process.

Toussaint Meda, representing the Governor, expressed support for the initiative, noting its benefits for both employers and employees. Meda also encouraged workers to verify their registration status with the CNSS, highlighting the significance of this security measure for their well-being and that of their families.
