The Feast of Eid Al-Adha Celebrated Modestly Due to Scarcity in Gay©ri

Gay©ri: The feast of EID Al-Adha (Tabaski) was celebrated in modesty by the Muslim faithful on the grounds of the Medical Center with Surgical Antenna (CMA). In his sermon, Imam Mahamadi Sawadogo implored God for peace and security in Burkina Faso and invited the different religious communities to further strengthen their bonds of solidarity and live together.

According to Burkina Information Agency, unlike previous years, this year the festival was celebrated with great modesty due to the lack of several basic food products. A Muslim worshipper in the city, Adjari Zakaria, expressed that this year the festival felt gloomy due to the scarcity of supplies to the city with necessary food products.

The Muslim faithful were assisted by their brothers from other religious denominations and provincial and municipal authorities to celebrate the event.
