Ouagadougou: The Burkinabè government expropriated on Wednesday, for reasons of public utility, ''Horizon education international Turkish association for development and solidarity between peoples'', better known as Horizon College international.According to the head of Burkinabe diplomacy, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, the expropriation decree now places the management of this school under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of National Education with a view to its definitive transfer to the Maarif Foundation.'It is a process that has been underway for several years and which will allow us to comply, as in several other countries in the sub-region, and to remain in line with the agreements we have made with Turkey' a- he indicated, while emphasizing that this decree will provide a boost to our cooperation with Turkey.As a reminder, the Horizon International School Complex is a secular and apolitical private educational establishment opened in 2003 in Burkina Faso by Turkish businessmen.The Turkis h Maarif Foundation is present in around fifteen countries in Africa including Burkina Faso.Source: Burkina Information Agency
