The United Nations discusses the establishment of a sustainable and lasting food system for the benefit of the Burkinabe populations

The Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Burkina Faso, Carol Flore-Smereczniak, spoke yesterday Monday with the Minister of Security Mahamadou Sana on the establishment of a sustainable and lasting food system for the benefit of the populations.The discussions also focused on the importance of human security stabilization for the benefit of communities and on providing an adequate humanitarian response to populations in need."Despite a difficult security context, the Burkinabe authorities have always shown their commitment and determination to improve the fate of the population. And the United Nations System is ready to support them in this regard," said Ms. Carol Flore-Smereczniak.Ms Flore-Smereczniak took the opportunity to present her condolences to the people of Burkina Faso following the attack in Barsalogho."I took advantage of this meeting to present my compassion and solidarity to the Burkinabe people and the Government of Burkina Faso following the brutal and deadly attack th at took place in Barsalogho.
