Three cases of fatal accidents were recorded within 48 hours in Kombissiri on National Road No. 5 at different locations, between September 23 and 24, 2024, AIB learned.Accident cases on the national road N°5 Ouagadougou-Pô have been recurring in recent times. Among these recorded accidents, three fatal cases were noted, including a woman.Indeed, according to the information gathered, the first case of accident occurred in the middle of the day on Monday, September 23, 2024 around 2 p.m. at the southern exit about ten kilometers from Kombissiri near the village of Sabraogo in the direction of Pô. According to testimonies, it was a truck that caused the death of a woman on her motorcycle following a collision.The following day, September 24, the second accident occurred at the entrance to Kombissiri in the village of Koupel-Yargo at the customs post at around 7:30 p.m. Here too, according to witnesses, it was a head-on collision between two freight trucks that caused the death of the driver of one of t he trucks heading towards Kombissiri.The third case of fatal accident involving a motorcycle, a tricycle and a dump truck occurred in the town of Kombissiri, late at night around 11 p.m., between the provincial directorate of the national police and the provincial directorate of taxes.All these unfortunate cases occurred within 48 hours, according to the testimonies collected by the AIB.For the witnesses, only caution in traffic and respect for the highway code remain a solution for reducing the number of road traffic accidents.Source: Burkina Information Agency
