Bam: The High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Ou©draogo, officially installed Kibsa Niki©ma and Mohamini Ou©draogo on Monday as the new provincial directors of Youth and Employment, and Sports and Leisure, respectively.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner praised the efforts of the outgoing directors and congratulated the new leaders for the trust placed in them. He urged them to demonstrate patience, listening skills, and initiative, qualities he deems essential to meeting the pressing expectations of young people. "Managing young people means knowing how to listen, support and, above all, offer solutions adapted to their aspirations," he emphasized.
Kibsa Niki©ma, the first to be installed, was appointed by the Council of Ministers on May 28, 2025. As a youth and continuing education advisor by training, he replaces S©kou Sabo, who was appointed to the same position in Ziro province. In his speech, Mr. Niki©ma promised to ensure continuity in his actions while incorporating innovation. He committed to serving young people with loyalty, efficiency, and determination, calling for close collaboration with local structures and partners.
The outgoing director, S©kou Sabo, who served for eight years, expressed his gratitude to the authorities and his colleagues for their support throughout his mission in Bam. He wished his successor every success in his new role.
Mohamini Ou©draogo, the new provincial director of Sports and Leisure, succeeds Ouss©ni Sawadogo, who had been in office since 2016. He expressed his willingness to continue ongoing projects and tackle the challenges facing the sector, particularly the lack of equipment and accessibility in certain areas. He stated that his mission would be guided by listening, integrity, and honesty, inviting the community to unite around sport as a means of fostering social cohesion.
