Ouagadougou: The Junior Stallions of Burkina Faso were defeated on Friday in Accra, Ghana, by the Elephants of C´te d'Ivoire in Group B of the Union of West African Football Federations Zone B tournament.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Ivorian team secured their victory with goals from Yaya Tap© during stoppage time of the first half and Namory K©ita in the 75th minute. Salif Simpor© managed to score for Burkina Faso, narrowing the gap but not enough to change the outcome of the match.
The tournament kicked off on Thursday with a Group A match between Ghana and Nigeria, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
