Uganda and Egypt Conclude Bilateral Consultations to Enhance Cooperation in Key Sectors

Kampala: Uganda and Egypt have successfully concluded the Second Round of Bilateral Consultations at Serena Hotel, Kampala, where they agreed on a new cooperation framework aimed at boosting investment, capacity building, and the development of water resources.

According to African Press Organization, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Henry Okello Oryem, praised the Egyptian government for maintaining excellent relations rooted in common history and shared values. He highlighted that over the years, Uganda and Egypt have implemented numerous joint projects under the existing cooperation framework. The two countries now plan to leverage this relationship to implement additional projects of mutual interest.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, H.E Badr Abdelatty, expressed appreciation for Uganda's leadership in promoting regional peace and security. He emphasized Egypt's readiness to enhance cooperation with Uganda in several areas, including mutual investment protection and promotion, immigration, technical cooperation, capacity building, energy, and agriculture.
