Ouahigouya: The Ministry of Youth Sports and Employment launched the national finals of the Union of School and University Sports of Burkina Faso (USSU-BF) and the major schools for the 2024-2025 season on Friday in Ouahigouya, capital of the Yaadga region, the AIB noted on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the competitions began in the morning with volleyball, in the presence of the Director General of Sports and Leisure. The young university men and women will compete in several team sports, including volleyball, football, handball, and basketball, as well as individual sports such as athletics, wrestling, and judo.
The final stages were held under the theme "Youth, school and university sports to build a strong and united nation!" and will reach their climax this Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the city of Naaba Kango under the patronage of the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment (MSJE) Roland Somda.
