Burkina: In one year, many things have changed positively under Ibrahim Traoré (support)

Ouahigouya, The MPSR2 support committee praised, Friday, the many achievements accomplished in one year in Burkina Faso under the presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The committee also called on youth to be guardians of the Transition, because according to it, its eventual downfall will be worse than an earthquake.

“Since the arrival of the revolutionary regime of Captain (Ibrahim) Traoré and his brothers in arms, in one year many things have changed positively. […] Terrorism has declined significantly, but is not completely over,” declared the general coordinator of the MPSR2 support committee, Souleymane Bayiri, at a press conference on Friday.

According to Mr. Bayiri, the Burkinabè army “has indeed gained the upper hand over the terrorists”, thanks to “the acquisition of sufficient quantity and quality of weapons”.

The general coordinator also highlighted MPSR2 initiatives through APEC to contribute to job creation and the call for contributions from Burkinabè to the war effort.

He also called on the youth to support the military youth in power, whom he considers the hope of the people.

Souleymane Bayiri also welcomed the reduction in the salaries of members of the current government.

“Together, we are and must be the guardians of this life-saving regime, sensitive to the suffering of an entire people. The fall of this regime will be worse than a tsunami, an earthquake,” added Souleymane Bayiri.

Mr. Bayiri nevertheless called on young people to consider the harmful consequences of imperialist domination in the form of aid as a crime against Burkina.

For Souleymane Bayiri, imported democracy and biased elections have caused Burkina Faso to regress, unlike the revolutionary regimes of Presidents Thomas Sankara and Ibrahim Traoré.

He specified that their transition support committee has existed since October 1, 2022, the day after the MPSR2 came to power.
