The Alliance of Sahel States (AES) adopted yesterday Tuesday, a roadmap aimed, among other things, at the establishment of an emergency communication plan intended to inform the populations major actions undertaken by their authorities.The Burkinabè Minister in charge of Communication, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and his counterparts from Mali and Niger discussed by videoconference the guidelines for an effective communication strategy in the AES space.While awaiting the development of the said strategy scheduled for next week in Bamako, Mali, the three ministers agreed to the establishment of an emergency communications plan intended to inform the populations of the Confederation of the major actions undertaken by the authorities.As a reminder, during a summit held on July 6, 2024 in Niamey, the heads of state of Burkina, Mali and Niger adopted the treaty creating the confederation of the Sahel States.In the final communiqué of this meeting, the three heads of state recommended the development of a commu nications strategy reflecting the values ??of the people of the Sahel.Source: Burkina Information Agency
