Ammar’s activities in South Africa

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar met on Thursday at the Tunisian Embassy in Pretoria, with officials from the South African government, members of the Tunisian community living in South Africa and a number of the private sector representatives, as part of his visit to South Africa to attend the 2nd session of the Tunisia-South Africa political consultations.

The FM also had a talk with South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mtho Xulu and South Africa Chairperson of the Women Entrepreneurship Forum Sindizwa Mazmu, in the presence of Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts President Samir Majoul.

The meeting focused mainly on ways to develop economic cooperation between Tunisia and South Africa in view of the creation of the Tunisian-South African Business Council.

Besides, Ammar held talks with the ambassadors of a number of countries covered by the mission, as well as the deans of the diplomatic corps in Pretoria, during which he affirmed Tunisia's pride to belong to the African Continent and its adherence to the values of tolerance and openness, calling for the need to address the deep causes behind the irregular migration phenomenon.
