Angola # Burkina Faso: the Stallions covet first place in group D

Bouaké: The Stallions of Burkina Faso and the Palancas Negras (Black Gazelles) of Angola meet tomorrow Tuesday in Yamoussoukrou (2Oh GMT) in the clash of Group D of the CAN in favor of the 3rd day and the Burkinabè coach Velud, in a press conference, only has in mind to play the leadership of the group to better advance in the competition. The French technicians of the Etalons Hubert Velud could not have been clearer at a pre-match press conference on Monday in Bouaké. 'We started preparing for this match since our training. We are 100% going for first place. I don't think about other things because the group is ambitious. It's our mentality to move forward,' he said. The Burkinabè team will face an Angolan team which demonstrated in its first two matches that it handles the ball well, recognized by Velud. 'They have a good team. They have 4 points. This is proof that they are a good team and it will be a decisive match for first place. We are aware of this,' noted the Stallions coach. Etalons goalkeeper S ébastien Tou (4th in the hierarchy of Etalons goalkeepers) reassured during this press conference that 'my teammates and I prepared for this match with great enthusiasm. We are lucky to have a staff who puts us in better conditions to be ready for this competition.' For him, 'every Burkinabè plays every match to win. It is with great desire and confidence that we prepared for this match to achieve our victory. Our destiny is in our hands. We have an impeccable state of mind.' Dango Ouattara will be present in the group Coach Velud reassured that this time 'Dango Ouattara is selectable. He can be in the group. At the last press conference I said the same thing and at the last moment he was not in the group. There, on the other hand, I can say that he will be in the group.' The Bournemouth (England) striker, back from injury, will therefore bring all his experience to the forefront of the Burkinabe attack which will be deprived of Mohamed Konaté suspended for accumulation of cards. The technician of the St allions knows that the strength of the athletic team of the Palancas Negras is in the counter-attack and the percussion in front and has his plans to achieve his objectives. 'We have our qualities too. In the spirit we will do everything to seek victory intelligently without being countered. As the match approaches, we will have the ambition to go after this team. We are not going to do any calculations because we have our destiny in our hands.' The Stallions have already played two difficult matches with a lot of injuries (Guira, Dango, Traoré and Nagalo) and cards (Mohamed Konaté and Blati Touré, suspended). 'We are going to take into account fatigue for some, health management and box management. We have different profiles in the group. We count on everyone. We have a large group,' reassures Hubert Velud. If the Stallions emerge victorious from this match, they will be leaders of group D and will remain in Bouaké where they are already accustomed for the rest of the competition. In group D, Burkina Faso is 2nd ( with 4 pints+1) behind Angola (4 points+) and ahead of Algeria (2 points) and Mauritania (0 points - 2).
