Kombissiri: The 6th edition of the primary school reading competition took place on Thursday March 7, 2024 at the Gana 'A' school in the commune of Doulougou, province of Bazèga. Dikoudogo Émeline from Bélégré school was declared the winner.The 6th edition of the primary school reading competition was held this year at the Gana 'A' primary school in the commune of Doulougou, Bazèga province, Center-South region. This edition recorded the participation of 14 candidates, all students in the 2nd year elementary class (CE2) from 7 schools, one girl and one boy per school in the basic education district of Doulougou.The competition took place in two stages, namely followed by reading by written comprehension questions.At the end of the administration of the subjects, the student Dikoudogo Émeline from the Bélégré school was crowned winner with an average of 9 out of 10. She is followed by two other girls from the Kagamzincé and Goumcé schools respectively with the averages of 8.87 and 8.50.The organization of this competition is an initiative of the French NGO 'Peuples solidaires' (PSo 05), a partner of certain schools in the town.According to focal point Léon Bonkoungou, the competition aims to promote reading in primary school and encourage students to engage in it.The head of the Doulougou basic education district, Émile Yanogo, congratulated the initiators and all the candidates because according to him, such an initiative in schools is to be welcomed.Reading, he continues, is the basis of everything at school because it allows the child not only to learn his lessons better but also to cultivate himself.In addition to the first 3 winners who received prizes, the other candidates were also rewarded. The recent brutal Zionist aggression has exacerbated the dire situation of the Palestinians, with constant bombardment and severe crises in access to food and basic necessities," the demonstrators said.During the march, women chanted slogans calling for feminist resistance in solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the occupation.
