Ouagadougou: The Combatant Forces managed to neutralize several terrorists after violent fighting in recent days in the North-Central and East-Central regions, the AIB learned on Wednesday.
Between April 15 and 17, 2024, the 8th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) carried out titanic work in the North-Central region, more precisely in Guinbila, north of Barsalgho.
In fact, the army had withdrawn from the locality five years ago and the terrorist groups had time to build a large base there.
On April 17, 2024, at the entrance to the base, the patriots came under heavy fire from the enemy.
Violent fighting followed before air vectors came to support. Immediately, a targeted strike hit a first group of terrorists who were trying to flee with corpses and wounded.
Other fugitives head towards Taouremba where they take refuge under large trees to escape the airborne vectors.
The pilots who had been following them for a long time will neutralize them with missiles.
Criminals then burn with their logistics in th
e flames.
The rest of their acolytes will be neutralized by hunters equipped with cannons.
In addition to the North Centre, the boys achieved an exploit on the morning of April 16, 2024 in the Sablogo area, Koulpélogo province.
Indeed, during a reconnaissance mission in the Kankanmogre forest near Sablogo, the men of the 11th BIR faced the enemy.
It was after an hour of intense fighting that the terrorists fled, leaving behind corpses and logistics.
