Burkina-Canada cooperation: Ambassador Lee-Anne HERMANN takes stock with the Head of State

The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE received in audience this Monday, the Canadian ambassador to Burkina Faso at the end of his mission, Lee-Anne HERMANN.'I am leaving Burkina Faso after three years of mission as ambassador and I came to say goodbye and thank you to the Head of State for the warm welcome,' said the Canadian diplomat at the end of the hearing.This audience was an opportunity to take stock, with the President of Faso, of cooperation between the two countries. For Lee-Anne HERMANN, cooperative relations between Canada and Burkina Faso date back to 1962 and are going well. 'We intervene in development, humanitarian work and also in the private sector,' maintained the diplomat.Lee-Anne HERMANN declared that the President of Faso returned, during the discussions, to his vision, to the Alliance of Sahel States and to relations with Africa and the world.The Canadian ambassador also said he discussed, with Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, issues related to the emancipation of women, an issue to which his country is attached.'I leave with good memories of Burkina Faso, especially the resilience of the Burkinabe people,' concluded the host of the Head of State.Source: Burkina Information Agency
