The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, received in audience this Thursday, October 13, 2023, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ibrahim El KHOULI, at the end of assignment.
During this audience, the Head of State and his host revisited the state of cooperation between our country and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The two countries maintain bilateral relations in the security, military, development and training fields.
“On the issue of training, the number of internships that Egypt makes available to Burkinabè brothers and sisters has only increased in recent years in all areas,” maintained the ambassador of the Arab Republic of 'Egypt.
The Egyptian diplomat took the opportunity of the audience to translate the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt's wishes for success to the Head of State "in his fight against terrorism, in his fight for stabilization and for complete independence and in its fight against any act that can destabilize this country which is dear to us.
In perspective, according to the Egyptian diplomat, his country intends to strengthen its cooperation with our country. To this end, in the field of civil aviation, a direct line between Burkina Faso and Egypt is being studied.
“Within a few weeks, we could have the first direct flight between Ouagadougou and Cairo,” underlined the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ibrahim El KHOULI.
