Ouagadougou: Citizen Watch has made a call to the people of Burkina Faso to participate in a mass gathering on April 30, 2025, at Revolution Square. This demonstration is aimed at showing support for Captain Ibrahim Traoré and asserting the country's sovereignty against imperialist influences.According to Burkina Information Agency, Ghislain Dabiré, spokesperson for the National Coordination of Citizen Monitoring (CNAVC), emphasized the significance of the upcoming march. He stated that it would be a demonstration of Burkina Faso's sovereignty, highlighting that the nation is no longer a vassal state but one that makes decisions in the best interest of its people.Dabiré criticized what he described as interference by external forces, particularly pointing to General Longley's governance analyses of Burkina Faso as a violation of international law. He declared that the decisions made by President Traoré reflect the will of the Burkinabe people and warned against any threats to their sovereignty.The spoke sperson issued a strong warning to any country that might consider destabilizing Burkina Faso or any member of the Economic and Statistical Administration (ESA). Dabiré insisted that any African nation attempting to be a stronghold for such destabilization efforts would not succeed and would face historical accountability.In addition, Dabiré acknowledged the support from African youth and African-Americans for President Traoré's pan-African efforts. He noted that this support signifies a new era where exploitation and manipulation are no longer tolerated, and Black people are taking control of their destiny.
