Sourou: The town's citizen watchdog cleaned the courtyard of the town's Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) on Friday to allow health workers to work in a safe environment. The citizen watch of the commune of Lanko© in the province of Sourou, region of Boucle du Mouhoun, took the initiative to clean the courtyard of the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of the city.
According to Burkina Information Agency, men and women of the Lanko© Citizen Watch gathered with brooms, rakes, and other cleaning equipment to ensure the sanitation of the area. Lankou© Djikouma Bonsa, vice-president of the municipal coordination of citizen monitoring, stated that the goal of this effort was to provide health workers with a safe environment to enhance their efficiency.
"We decided to clean the CSPS to allow health workers to work peacefully in a clean environment," Bonsa explained. He also mentioned that a program has been established to clean several other public services in the coming days.
Herv© Diye Golan©, a major at the CSPS, emphasized that poor hygiene is a major issue often overlooked. "What you have just done will contribute to the care of every patient who comes here for treatment," he stated. He praised the initiative, acknowledging the citizen watch members as essential contributors to public health by addressing hygiene concerns.
