Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe government has adopted the preliminary draft of the 2025 budget, which outlines a plan for 3,193 billion FCFA in revenue and 3,593 billion FCFA in expenditure. This budget, adopted on Wednesday, places a significant emphasis on structural investments in key sectors such as education, health, food self-sufficiency, and social protection.According to Burkina Information Agency, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Boubacar Nacanabo, stated that the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, engaged in discussions with each minister and their teams. The focus of these discussions was on reducing operating costs to enhance investment spending in the strategic sectors prioritized by the budget.The preliminary draft budget is set to be submitted to the Transitional Legislative Assembly for a vote, marking a critical step in the government's efforts to address essential needs and promote sustainable development within the country.
