Ouagadougou: The new Director General (DG) of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ANRP), Dr Issiaka Soulama, expressed on Friday his wish to work to strengthen the efficiency and performance of his structure to be able to be envied beyond the borders of Burkina Faso.'The day I leave, my wish is to have made it possible to have an agency which has reached an acceptable and perceptible level of performance, which is respected and envied beyond borders,' declared the new Director General (DG) of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ANRP), Dr Issiaka Soulama.Dr Issiaka Soulama says he came to make his contribution by adding earth to the earth for the smooth running of the ANRP, created in 2018.It was officially installed on Friday February 23, 2024 in Ouagadougou, by the secretary of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, Dr Issa Ouédraogo, in the presence of his collaborators and friends.'I will assume this role, in view of the objectives and principles assigned to me. Among thes e principles are integrity, loyalty, culture of results, team spirit and competence,' promised Dr Issaka Soulama.Dr Soulama, previously Secretary General of the National Order of Pharmacists of Burkina, expressed his gratitude to the highest authorities of the country who placed their trust in his modest person to lead the ANRP.The new boss of the ANRP hoped that the values raised could be combined on a daily basis with his colleagues in achieving the assigned objectives.'We are not starting from scratch, we are lucky to have a house that has been built. This is an opportunity for me to honestly and sincerely express all my congratulations to the outgoing director of the ANRP, Dr Aminata Nacoulma,' he maintained.Dr Issiaka Soulama expressed his availability, his team spirit and reaffirmed his commitment to continue the search for certification for the ANRP and progression in the WHO maturity program.As a reminder, on Wednesday February 14, 2024, the pharmacist-researcher, Dr Issiaka Soulama, was app ointed by the Council of Ministers as the new CEO of the ANRP.Source: Burkina Information Agency
