Burkina: Mali, guest of honor at the 7th International Exhibition of Agriculture, Environment and Livestock

Ouagadougou: Mali will be the guest country of honor at the 7th edition of the International Exhibition of Agriculture, Environment and Livestock (SIAEL), scheduled for February 20 to 27 on the outskirts of Ouagadougou. Neighboring country and ally of Burkina Faso, Mali has been selected as guest of honor at the next International Exhibition of Agriculture, Environment and Livestock (SIAEL) which opens in four days in Ouagadougou, under the theme: 'Impact of the security crisis on the agro-sylvo-pastoral sector: Current situation and perspectives'. The information was announced during the Salon launch ceremony this morning during a press meeting and later confirmed at the AIB by the organization's president, Jean Victor Ouédraogo. Mali and Burkina Faso are 'two brother countries experiencing the same realities both in community development and in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel,' explained Mr. Ouédraogo. Born under the name of International Agro-Sylvo-Pastoral Fair, SIAEL plans to award, for this edition, 'Golden Kuuri' prizes to the best producers and processors in the fields of agriculture, livestock and of the environment. The 7th SIAEL is placed under the very high patronage of the Prime Minister, Dr Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélèm de Tambèla, the sponsorship of the Minister in charge of Agriculture and the co-sponsorship of the Minister in charge of the Environment.
