Ouagadougou: The 2nd edition of the Sissili Provincial Director of Post-Primary and Secondary Education (DPEPPS) Cup was launched on Saturday April 20, 2024 in Léo, noted an AIB journalist This 2nd edition of the DPEPPS sissili cup will see the participation of 13 establishments. "Sport and culture factors of peace and social cohesion" is the theme which will accompany all the actors during the course of this edition. In the opening match, the Léo Provincial High School team stole the spotlight from the General Education College (CEG) of Bukua after the penalty shootout with a score of 3 goals to 1. The provincial high school of Léo put an end to the domination of the CEG of Bukua who nevertheless opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the game. The reaction of the formation of the provincial high school was not long in coming with the scoring of the equalizing goal which comes in the 17th minute. The two teams then separated with a score of parity, one goal everywhere at the end of regulation time. It was at the end of the penalty shootout that the provincial high school team got the better of its counterpart, the CEG of Bukua. As a reminder, this edition of the Dppessissili Cup will be coupled with athletics. A total of 156 athletes will have to compete in this discipline through events such as the 80 meters flat, the long jump and the triple jump. So here we go for the 2nd edition of the cup of the provincial director of post primary and secondary education of Sissili in under-17 football. For one month, the 13 training courses from different establishments in the city of Léo will compete in talent to designate the two finalists. The provincial director of post-primary and secondary education in Sissili, Mimtiri Oualbéogo welcomed the great mobilization of stakeholders in the education system and all youth around this activity. "We can never say it enough, football and sport in general is a factor of social cohesion, unity, fraternity and friendship, a guarantee of peace," he indicated.
