Burkina: Supporters of Captain Ibrahim Traoré make a show of force

Several thousand people gathered in Ouagadougou this Saturday to support the Transition and its counter-terrorism policy.

This Saturday morning, for several hours, citizens converged from the four corners of Ouagadougou towards the Place de la Révolution where they formed a compact crowd, several thousand strong.

For these supporters of the Transition regime and its president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, this march meeting was more than necessary.

"It was necessary in view of international plots that the Nation show to the eyes of the international community that Burkina Faso belongs to the Burkinabè", indicated the student Issiaka Ben Ouédraogo, from the top of a podium, a human tide behind him.

According to him, the people also gathered to show their support for President Ibrahim Traoré and his companions in the transition who are, he continued, on the road to liberation.

For Issiaka Ben Ouédraogo, if the markets have remained closed, it means that the population is aware that no one can determine their destiny for them.

“There was a time when Burkina was desperate for cursed governance. The mobilizations were to denounce the power of a president. But today, this mobilization is to support the power of a president”, affirmed the coordinator of the movement “France must leave”, Lassané Sawadogo.

In his opinion, at present, imperialism is shaking and the local valets regret being in Burkina Faso.

“Some had asked for a demonstration to say no to the Transition. Today, they realize that the people are no longer ready to lose the truth. We had a truthful president who is there to liberate our dear homeland,” said Lassané Sawadogo.

Ousmane Ouédraogo came from Ganzourgou, about 100 km from Ouagadougou, to support Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

According to him, the interview with the Head of State broadcast on Thursday evening proves that he has good intentions for Burkina Faso.

“Our coming here shows our will to defeat the enemy with President Ibrahim Traoré and we will support him for the good of future generations,” said artist-musician Noël Yaméogo.
