Burkina: The new CEO of the Société d’Intrants is committed to transparent management of public resources

Ouagadougou: The new Director General (DG) of the Company of Agropastoral Inputs and Materials (SOBIMAP), Alassane Nikiema, committed on Wednesday after his installation, to a management transparent and conscientious use of public resources, in order to ensure the regular supply of the country with inputs and agricultural materials, the AIB learned from the communication services of the ministry in charge of agriculture. The new CEO of the Company of Agropastoral Inputs and Materials (SOBIMAP), Alassane Nikiema, expressed his gratitude to the authorities of the Department in charge of Agriculture for the trust placed in him. While measuring the scope of the task entrusted to him, he is committed to managing efficiently, effectively, transparently and conscientiously all the resources that will be allocated to him, entrust the communication services of the ministry in charge of agriculture . Appointed by the Council of Ministers at its meeting on April 4, 2024, Mr. Nikiema was officially installed on Wednesd ay as Director General of SOBIMAP by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources, Gaoussou Sanou. For the success of his mission, he requested the support of his superiors and that of all stakeholders in the rural world. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources, Gaoussou Sanou, congratulated the Director General of SOBIMAP on his appointment and reminded him of the Company's missions. This includes ensuring the regular supply of the country with agricultural inputs and equipment through their acquisition, management and distribution. Furthermore, Mr. Gaoussou Sanou urged the new Director General to take advantage of the experience he capitalized at the head of the Central Supply of Agricultural Inputs and Materials (CAIMA) to ensure the proper functioning of SOBIMAP while by distancing itself from the old practices which prevailed at the dissolution of CAIMA. As a reminder, the Council of Ministers in its meeting of Marc h 20, 2024 decided to create a state company called the Burkinabè Company of Inputs and Agropastoral Materials (SOBIMAP) to replace the Central Supply of Inputs and agricultural equipment (CAIMA), dissolved the same day.
