Ouagadougou: The Norbert Zongo National Press Center officially launched the Marie-Soleil prize which rewards the best journalist in Burkina Faso, Friday, on the sidelines of the celebration of World Press Freedom Day. The 2024 edition of the Marie-Soleil prize for the best journalist in Burkina Faso was launched on Friday May 3 in Ouagadougou, at the Norbert Zongo Press Center, through journalist Mariam Ouédraogo, reporter for the daily Sidwaya and three-time winner of the award. With a total reward of 1.5 million FCFA, this prize rewards the best production of all categories, produced by a journalist. Applications are expected until September 30, 2024 and the prize will be awarded on October 20, 2024, on the occasion of the celebration of National Press Day Source: Burkina Information Agency
