Burkina: The World Bank wants to help the government meet the needs of the populations

The World Bank showed on Monday its willingness to support the Burkinabè government to meet the needs of the populations, in particular those of people displaced due to insecurity.

The World Bank, as a partner of Burkina Faso, intends to help the government translate its vision into concrete actions bringing solutions that correspond to the needs of the populations, said Monday its vice-president for West Africa, Ousmane Diagana. .

Mr. Diagana was speaking after an audience granted to him by Burkinabe Prime Minister Me Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla.

Ousmane Diagana appreciated the "very clear and very relevant" answers from the Burkinabè chief executive.

He indicated that his institution wants to support the implementation of the Transition's Strategic Plan for Stabilization and Development.

Mr. Diagana especially mentioned the need for schools, health centers and food for internally displaced persons.

He also noted as a priority, the structuring financing of sectors that foster development and are able to create jobs.
