Burkinabe and Chinese media share their experiences in the field of technology

Burkinabè journalists, including two from AIB, took part this morning in China to share experiences with their Chinese colleagues in the field of media technology. TEA Chinese journalists and officials spoke this Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in Beijing with the Burkinabè press, in the political capital of the country. The debates allowed the Chinese to focus on the evolution of media technology and the strengthening of Sino-Burkinabe cooperation. These discussions were organized by the Center for International Studies and Training, an international communications group of China (CICG-IISAT), in partnership with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Chinese journalists also pointed out that technology has taken a big step in their country with the multitude of media such as television, print and online. To this end, they returned, among other things, to the production, dissemination and translation of information, specifying that there is no information control structure in China. 'The Chinese can say whatever th ey want on social networks, except defamatory remarks, because sanctions are imposed on those concerned,' said one of the journalists from the press, Chen Liang. Mr. Chen also mentioned social networks such as WeChat and online information management, revealing that there is freedom of expression in China. For the deputy secretary of China's foreign languages office, Min Yi, these exchanges will allow Burkinabe journalists to better discover her country's technology, through applications and software. Ms. Min took this opportunity to welcome the resumption of Burkina Faso's diplomatic ties with her country, everything, according to her, which will make it possible to strengthen the ties of cooperation for the happiness of the two peoples. She also hoped that the media would produce productions in areas such as economy, culture and sport for better knowledge of the real China by Burkinabè people. 'I urge you to have frank and constructive exchanges to strengthen our bilateral cooperation,' the assistant s ecretary told journalists from Burkina.
