China: China was able to develop rapidly thanks to its hardworking people and the appropriate policies of its leaders (speaker)

The dean of the Institute of African Studies at the University of Foreign Studies in Beijing, Li Hongfeng indicated Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the Chinese capital, that her country has 'very rapidly' developed since the reform thanks to its 'hardworking people' and 'policies (of the leaders) which adapt to Chinese realities'. 'I think that China has been able to develop very quickly since reform and opening up because we have a hardworking people and we have policies that adapt to Chinese realities,' said Thursday in Beijing, the dean of the Institute of African Studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University, Li Hongfeng. For Ms. Hongfeng, the partnerships obtained since 1970 across Asian, European and African countries have enabled China to begin its development on a global level. The dean made a presentation Thursday morning in Beijing, as part of the training seminar for the benefit of Burkinabe journalists and media managers. The conference focused on the theme 'national situation and traditional cul ture of China'. Li Hongfeng stressed that the Chinese are characterized, among other things, by values of solidarity, discipline and work, which have led them to development. To listen to him, the various reforms carried out in agriculture, the army and culture have also contributed to the social and economic development of China. The speaker also maintained that agriculture remains the government's main priority because it makes it possible to feed populations and offer them better living conditions. Regarding the army, she specified that the latter guarantees the security of the people, hence profound reforms within it which have been carried out to enable it to be more efficient and operational. Ms. Hongfeng stressed that China's major challenges currently include, among others, the needs of different social classes, disparities in the country's regions and the strengthening of relations with the outside world. 'I think we will find a solution to this especially with the United States because the Chi nese philosophy is to have an understanding, not only within the country but also with the outside,' she continued. The dean of the Institute of African Studies at the Beijing Foreign Studies University also focused on marriages, the Chinese way of life and the country's new urbanization policy. The history of the victorious revolution of 1949 led by Comrade Mao, the challenge of modernization through technology, religious and sporting practices were on the agenda of the discussions. The training seminar takes place from April 10 to 19 for media managers and from April 10 to 23 for journalists. It will be marked by thematic conferences but also field visits to Beijing and other localities in the country. The seminar for media executives and journalists from Burkina Faso is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and actively led by Chinese President Xi Jinping. As a reminder, it was on May 26, 2018 that Burkina Faso reestablished its diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China after 24 years of rupture.
