Citizenship, cooperation and donation of military equipment on the cover of Burkinabè newspapers

For its part, the private daily Le Pays talks about multilateral cooperation, headlined: “Burkina Faso and the United Nations System take stock of their cooperation.”

The newspaper reports that the Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Olivia Rouamba, received on the evening of Wednesday October 18, 2023 in Ouagadougou, a delegation from the United Nations system, led by the Acting Resident Coordinator, Alain Akpadji.

According to him, the two parties worked together to strengthen the cooperation framework, through the Association for the Unification of Law in Africa (UNIDA).

The public newspaper Sidwaya reports the signing of a food aid contract, during exchanges within the framework of multilateral cooperation.

Under another aspect, the daily newspaper L'Observateur Paalga headlines in its columns: National Citizenship Week: Act 20 celebrated in 8 tables.

The newspaper highlights that the Secretary General of the Ministry in charge of Justice, Harouna Kadio hosted a press conference yesterday Thursday in Ouagadougou, as a prelude to the organization of the 20th edition of the National Citizenship Week (SENAC) scheduled for October 23 to 27 .

For the dean of Burkina's private daily newspapers, SG Kadio explains that the meeting will take place in a context marked by a crisis of citizenship and the progressive erosion of social values.

The public newspaper Sidwaya, for its part, adds that SENAC 2023 will be celebrated under the seal of the reconquest of the national territory.
