Dano: A health and social promotion center (CSPS) built in Soriane by the special municipal delegation

Dano: The prefect, president of the special delegation of the commune of Dano, Denis Zanré, visited the new health and social promotion center (CSPS) in the village of Soriane on January 19, 2024.

The village of Soriane, in the commune of Dano, benefits from the construction of a health and social promotion center (CSPS).

This new CSPS was carried out by the special municipal delegation of Dano with the financial support of Japanese cooperation through the Japanese embassy in Burkina Faso.

The prefect, president of the special municipal delegation (PDS) of Dano, Denis Zanré, and his colleagues visited the completed CSPS, in the presence of the representative of the chief physician (MCD) of the health district of Dano, Dr Laurent Sanhouidi.

On this occasion, the population of Soriane mobilized to receive their guests.

Located on an area of 3.5 hectares, the infrastructure is made up of a dispensary, a maternity ward, three housing units, a depot for essential generic medicines (MEG), a hall, an incinerato
r, a kitchen, two blocks of latrines and equipment.

The total cost of implementing the Soriane CSPS amounts to more than 150 million 432 thousand CFA francs. It has a capacity of 20 beds.

The PDS of Dano, Denis Zanré, expressed his gratitude to the Japanese people for this important support for the construction of this jewel.

He also thanked the officials of the Directorate General of Cooperation (DGCOOP) for their support in obtaining funding for this work. According to Mr. Zanré, this CSPS will improve the supply and quality of care in the village of Soriane and its surroundings.

It above all responds to the population’s need for access to health services, he stressed.

The prefect informed the population of the appointment of a head nurse (ICP).

He also indicated that the CSPS will be functional by February 15, 2024. ‘I invite you to give a warm welcome to the health workers. This CSPS belongs to you and you must carry out awareness campaigns to ensure its good attendance,’ concluded the PDS of the co
mmune of Dano.
