Dédougou: Opening of the 2nd edition of Educational and Vocational Guidance Days

The regional directorate of post-primary and secondary education of the Boucle du Mouhoun is organizing on July 05, 06 and 07, 2023 in Dédougou, the second edition of school and professional orientation days. The opening of the work was chaired by Ms. Kientéga/Ouédraogo Hadjara, Secretary General of the region representing the governor.

For the second time and with a view to alleviating the difficulties linked to educational and vocational guidance, the Regional Directorate of Post-Primary and Secondary Education of the Boucle du Mouhoun is organizing school and vocational guidance days (JOSP) in Dédougou.

The purpose of these days is to enable the various actors involved in the education chain to provide useful and precise information to pupils, new graduates, students and parents of pupils with a view to good educational and professional orientation and to encourage them an interest in self-employment.

Indeed, the rational and effective management of human capital necessarily involves the orientation and use of working methods developed by the new disciplines.

Better still, in a context of rapid change in the world of work and society, the increasing complexity of professional careers and the unpredictability of the future, developing in each person the skills to orient themselves has become a priority objective of the programs of education, and our country Burkina Faso cannot remain on the sidelines of this dynamic.

In fact, faced with their choice of orientation, most students lack consistency in the choice of their professional or personal project in relation to their academic abilities.

For the Regional Director of post-primary and secondary education of the Boucle du Mouhoun, Dr Denis Vimboué, these days are held in a context well known to all, hence their holding is a symbol of the resilience of each actor.

For this, he expressed his gratitude to all the collaborators of the regional management and those provincial for the success of the organization of these days.

He did not fail to take the opportunity to send his warm congratulations to those admitted to the BEPC, CAP, BEP and Baccalaureate session exams of 2023.

In the opinion of the Secretary General of the region, the holding of these educational and professional orientation days is the fruit of a common effort where each actor has his part to play.

She took the opportunity to congratulate all the actors who made the trip to come and give advice to our students for their orientation.

“These days are more important than ever in our eyes with regard to the challenges of professional integration, self-employment and entrepreneurship of young graduates that our country must face. The success and socio-professional integration of young graduates depend first on good academic orientation,” she said.

“I therefore invite all the components of the educational community to invest individually and collectively in perpetuating such initiatives” continued the Secretary General of the region.

The representative of the Governor of the region took the opportunity to thank all those involved in education for the efforts made to provide children with a quality education, despite the great challenges they face on a daily basis.

The program of educational and professional orientation days includes exhibitions of stands from universities and major professional schools for the promotion of study and training courses, orientation interviews with participants, the administration of personality tests in the field of orientation in order to allow students and new graduates to discover their aptitudes before committing to a choice of study and training.

For three days, there will be communications between the actors of education, public and private universities and the CIOSPB, conferences-debates on the issue of orientation, professional integration, self-employment and entrepreneurship of young people and the discovery of trades.

For this second edition of the JOSP, five (05) public and private universities are present to present their training offers to future students.

Similarly, structures such as FONER, Campus Faso, CENOU and many other partners from the university world will offer their services to participants to enable them to register in universities.
